5 Career-Ready Outfits
I know a lot of us have been working from home lately, but I’ve got a round-up of 5 Career-Ready outfits to get you excited for that transition back to that 9-to-5! These can also be work-from-home outfits if you’re trying to be fancy. No judgment here. These outfits were put together to help you to feel comfortable, confident and powerful as you march into your workplace
1. The Loungewear Trend
If the whole “wear pajamas and slippers to work” thing sounds enticing, I’ve got an outfit for you. This whole outfit is actually from Lulu’s, and the way these pieces fit, this outfit would be absolutely flattering on curvier figures. The pants are a paper bag waist with a tie, and the shoes are ultra-comfortable loafer mules. These shoes are textured in all of the right ways and have a pointy toe for that extra bit of polish that you need to elevate your “loungewear”. All pieces are linked below.

2. The Classic Look
For those who favor classic or even preppy outfits, this one might be your cup of tea. This tweed sheath dress from Loft is feminine and structured at the same time, and is perfect for any season, paired with a blazer or bare-shouldered. Unfortunately, the dress and the cute LV-inspired tote pictured are no longer in stock, so I have linked some alternatives below. I also found these gorgeous nude ankle strap pumps from Amazon! They have every shade of nude, including other classic colors like black. What’s even better is that the heel is only 1.5 inches tall, so you can walk in these all day if you wanted to. Accessorize this with a stylish watch.
3. Comfort & Style
Next up is this super cute outfit, especially if you are looking for something modest and comfortable. The dress is long enough to be modest, and it has a faux wrap to ease concerns of any wardrobe malfunction in the workplace. These shoes are Clark’s and they are so comfortable, especially if you’re on your feet 10+ hours per day. I wore them on almost all of my clinical clerkship rotations. They may not be super stylish, but they pass as professional, give you a little height and are rubber-soled. Elevate this look with pearls and a stylish watch.
4. Casual Friday
This outfit is super comfortable for a business-casual look. Pair this sweater with a slim fit dark-colored pant, like these pixie pants from Old Navy, for a put together look that still feels like you get to wear jeans to work. Dress up this outfit with pearls, a cute headband and a pair of mule booties. This outfit also transitions well into the Fall season, and Winter, depending on where you live.

5. Maximum Versatility
This is my last of 5 career-ready outfits! If you want an outfit you don’t have to spend a lot of time thinking about, this one is for you. I love having a mini capsule wardrobe that includes ankle pants and button-down blouses that I can mix and match depending on how I’m feeling that day. This way, it is hard to mess up looking put-together for work and takes the guesswork of fishing through your closet at 5am to put something together when you’re still half asleep. In this particular outfit, I found this “silk” button down blouse from Target, which is sadly no longer in stock, and these pull-on ankle pants from Chico’s. An alternative blouse is linked below. Add pumps to finish the outfit. I also love the nude pumps here because they accentuate the exposed ankle.
Thank you for reading about my 5 career-ready outfits! I hope this post was helpful and gave you some inspiration for building or adding to your career wardrobe. Sometimes it just takes a few fresh wardrobe pieces to help us feel excited about going to work in the mornings.
